Mission Statement: Anderson Ranch Arts Center is a learning community dedicated to creativity and growth through the making and understanding of the visual arts. Vision Statement: Anderson Ranch Arts Center is premised on the belief that "to create is human." We recognize the need to develop personal creativity and discover, learn and grow throughout one's lifetime. This artists' community serves society through dynamic and inspiring programs that promote the imagination of young people, revitalize the expressive impulses of older audiences, encourage inventive experimentation in talented emerging artists and support intensive inquiry and production by mature artists.

Best Day in the Life:
Artist-in-residence & Ceramics Studio Assistant Pelusa Rosenthal from Santiago, Chile said of her experience: "When I came to the Ranch many years ago, I did not know that my life would change so much and... nothing would be the same. I saw many different ways to work and incredible facilities that I did not have in Chile. Having so many different kilns gave me the option to experiment in a different way and take chances with my work. It also allowed me to bring the information back home to Chile and share all that I learned. As a result, I helped build different kilns and the first wood kiln in Chile."
