Best Day in the Life: 500 words or less...
Since 1979, Aspen Filmfest has been creating
unique and memorable experiences for
audiences of all ages. Our programs foster
appreciation for the art of movie making and its
power to inspire and communicate a richness of
ideas and cultures. Through our four annual
events and an array of special presentations,
Aspen Filmfest shares great films and
filmmakers with audiences across the valley.
We present year-round programming, including
our fall Filmfest, Shortsfest taking place each
spring, and Academy Screenings and
summerFILMS rounding out our winter and
summer presentations. Central to our mission is
our ever-expanding educational program
serving communities from Aspen to Rifle.
Whenever possible, we offer opportunities for
audiences of all ages to interact with film artists,
scholars and other experts who visit our
festivals each year. Aspen Filmfest offers over
100 educational programs annually at no
charge, or at a discounted rate with scholarship
support available.
